Run (To Lose Everything Is Gain)

The chorus for this song comes from three of my favourite passages of Scripture: Philippians 3:14, Hebrews 12:1-3 and James 1:2-3, 12.

Run (To Lose Everything Is Gain)

I walk a narrow road
My eyes on the Father
He keeps my troubled soul
In the palm of His hand

And when I lose my way
He guides me to safety
Forever my Escape
I wanna be lost in His love

So I will run for all I believe in
With patience until I see Him -
Jesus Christ, seated on His throne
A radiance I long to behold

And I will run the race to claim my prize
Of the upward call of Jesus Christ
Enduring through the trials and the pain
Knowing to lose everything is gain

This world, it gets so tough
When I lose my focus
Those mountain peaks and cliffs
Are so hard to climb

The only thing to do
Is cry out to Jesus
Revive this sinner's soul
Keep my eyes fixed on You God

And I will run for all I believe in
With patience until I see Him -
Jesus Christ, seated on His throne
A radiance I long to behold

And I will run for all the world to see
The light of Christ that shines through me
Rejoicing in the trials and the pain
Knowing to lose everything is gain

You're All I Need

Thinking of all the things I love
Believing You don't measure up
Lord, how that must grieve Your heart
Forgive me and keep me in Your arms

Thinking of all the time I waste
Apart from You going my own way
Father don't stop chasing me
In You alone there's rest and peace

Please
Won't You change my priorities
Bring me to my knees
And help me see You're all I need

Help me mean it when I say
Take whatever's in my way
I cannot get through life apart from You another day

Help me mean it when I plead
Jesus, take my everything
Cause You held nothing back when You gave it all for me

Keep me at the cross
Remembering the cost
The suffering, the loss
My Saviour gave it all

Keep me at Your feet
In true humility
You rose in victory
And by Your grace I'm free
